A3 Folded to A4 Leaflets

Twice the paper of everything else in this range. A full A3 sheet folded once down to A4 — opened flat it is effectively a poster, folded it posts in a C4 envelope and stacks neatly on a counter.

Printed and folded in-house at our Paisley studio, full colour both sides, from 50 to 1,000 copies, across all seven of our leaflet stocks.

Who is this for?

This is the format for a single large visual that cannot be broken across panels. Site maps, floor plans, walking and cycling routes, timetables, seating charts, wall planners, festival programmes, price boards — anything where splitting the artwork across narrow tri-fold panels would make it unreadable.

It also works simply as a substantial four-page piece when A4 feels too slight but a stitched brochure is more than the job needs.

How does this compare to our other folded leaflets?

If you don't need the extra size, A4 Folded to A5 is the same idea on half the paper and costs meaningfully less. If your content is text-heavy rather than one big visual, the Multi-Panel DL range gives you up to twelve pages in a pocket-sized piece. What is an A3 folded to A4 leaflet?

A full A3 sheet (420 x 297mm) folded once down the centre to A4. Four A4 pages in total, with an inside spread that opens to the full A3 area — which is what makes it the right choice for maps and charts that need to be seen whole.

Which paper should I choose?

Silk is the everyday choice — a smooth, lightly coated surface with a low sheen that keeps colour clean and sharp without the glare of gloss. 150gsm is our standard leaflet weight and best seller, 170gsm adds a little more body in the hand, and 250gsm is a light card with a genuinely premium feel.

Uncoated has no surface coating, so ink sits into the sheet rather than on top of it. Colour reads softer and warmer, and it takes pen and pencil without smudging — the right choice if anyone needs to write on it, or if you want an understated, less commercial feel.

Recycled is 100% post-consumer waste with a soft, tactile surface and a faint natural fleck. If sustainability is part of your message, this stock communicates it before a word is read.

Every stock we carry is FSC certified. Our paper stock guide covers all seven in detail — or ask us to post you printed samples of the ones you're weighing up. Paper is genuinely hard to judge on a screen.

What is the lead time for this product?

Typical timescale for this product is 3-5 working days from artwork approval. If you have a specific deadline, get in touch — we print in-house, so we can often move a job up the schedule, and we'll tell you honestly if we can't hit your date.

What are my delivery options?

We send our parcels via courier on a next day service within the UK. If you are in a remote area of the UK, please allow 48hr deliveries. If you are local to us, you can simply click and collect from our studio.

Artwork Requirements

Please supply your artwork as a print-ready PDF at flat size — 420mm (w) x 297mm (h), not folded size, as a two page file: page 1 the outside, page 2 the inside. Add 3mm bleed around all edges plus trim marks, and keep critical content at least 5mm inside the trim and clear of the fold lines. Images at 300dpi, colours in CMYK. Watch image resolution in particular on this format — a photograph that looks fine at A4 is covering four times the area here.

Do you offer a design service?

Yes we do. Our in-house graphic designers are available to create artwork to your specific requirements. Simply contact us and we'll come straight back with a quotation. Our team will supply drafts for approval, where you can suggest any tweaks you would like, ahead of print. Design charge: our artwork service is charged at £35 per hour, with the final cost based on the time the project needs. We'll keep you up to date at every stage.
