We use Scodix digital embellishment technology, which builds up a true three-dimensional metallic foil — not a flat hot foil stamp, but a raised finish you can actually feel. Artwork Note
Foil cards require two artwork files: your standard print-ready PDF, plus a separate foil layer showing the areas where the raised foil should be applied (foil areas supplied as solid black area on their own).

What's the difference between 3D Foil and 3D Spot UV Business Cards?
Both use Scodix technology for a raised, three-dimensional finish. Spot UV uses a raised clear gloss varnish for a shiny, contemporary effect. Foil applies a raised metallic coating in gold or silver — more decorative, more luxurious, and very distinctive.
How do I supply artwork for Foil Business Cards?
You'll need two files: your standard print-ready PDF, and a separate black and white PDF showing the foil areas. Contact us before submitting and our team will advise if your file is suitable for print.
Can I choose both gold and silver foil in the same order?
Each order is for a single foil colour (either gold or silver). If you need cards with both foil colours, please place two separate orders. Both colours of foil cannot be used on the same card.
How long do Foil Business Cards take to print?
Typical turnaround is 5 working days due to the Scodix finishing process. Contact us if you have a specific deadline and we'll advise on what's possible.
Can I have foil on both sides of the card?
